If you've lost money on a program that didn't deliver, you deserve to know exactly how these reviews are made. Here's what I check, what I refuse to do, and how I make money from this site.

Would I tell my own brother to do this?

That's the question behind every review here. If the honest answer isn't yes, I say so, and I tell you why.

What every review covers

All 67 reviews follow the same checklist, so you can compare any two businesses side by side.

The real monthly cost

What it costs to stay in each month, not just the price to join. Free to join doesn't always mean free to run.

Recruiting or not

Whether you earn from your own work and sales, or from building a team. Every business gets a category so you know which kind it is.

The good and the bad

A list of pros and a list of cons on every review. If a business has downsides, you'll see them in plain words.

An overall rating

One simple score so you can see at a glance how a business stacks up for a family starting out.

A straight verdict

Who it fits, who it doesn't, and what to watch out for before you spend a dollar.

The questions people ask

Short answers to the questions families ask most, like "Is it legit?" and "What does it really cost?"

What I won't do

I know what the hype machine does to families, because those are the people this site is for. So here's my promise:

  • No fake income screenshots. I won't show you anyone's earnings to get you excited.
  • No income promises. Nobody can tell you what you'll make, and I won't pretend to.
  • No fake countdowns or pressure. Take all the time your family needs.
  • No hiding the downsides. Every business gets its cons listed, including the ones I'm part of.

How I make money

This site is free for you. When I'm part of a business, like The Home Business Academy, I may earn a commission if you join through my link. Your price doesn't change.

When a link pays me, I'll tell you. Those businesses go through the same checklist as everyone else, downsides and all.
